Mary's mission statement is: "To encourage, inspire and teach compassion, respect & a positive attitude to people of all ages."
Mary has been called the Erma Bombeck of this century. People have said, "You are really funny, but with a great message." Humor is so important to her, that all of her presentations have humor. She says we need to laugh more! Laughter is medicine for the soul, and a good belly laugh is worth 10 minutes on a treadmill. Wow, what a deal!
Mary has always enjoyed entertaining others. In fact, she has been performing before audiences since she was three. She even passed up an opportunity to go to Hollywood as a young girl to pursue acting. Her mother was wise in preventing that from happening.
Mary is a native of Dallas, Texas and received her schooling there with the exception of her college years. She went west to Fort Worth to Texas Christian University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. TCU is also where she met her husband, Richard, and they have been married "for ever." They moved back to Dallas, where they have lived for many years. They have three grown children: two daughters and one son, and two incredible sons-in-law. They also have three granddaughters and one grandson who are just about perfect. :)
Mary speaks to a diverse group of organizations from State Farm Insurance to Dallas Can Academy where she was the featured speaker in their "Winner's Circle." Her subjects are as varied as her audience, and her topics can be found under the Program Tab on this web site.
Mary is also a trainer for Managed Health networks and a speaker for Christian Women's Club. She was privileged to serve for two years on the grants committee for the Susan G. Koman Foundation (A breast cancer awareness group).
She is a member of the National Speakers Association, NSA of North Texas, Exceptional Women, and Fellowship of Professional Women.
